Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS)

Located on transmission or transaxle, VSS contains a pulse generator which provides speedometer with a vehicle speed signal. Speedometer then provides ECM with vehicle speed signal. ECM uses this input to control fuel injection, ignition timing and other functions.
