DTC Confirmation Test

A/T malfunction information is transmitted to ECM through A/T diagnosis communication line. Malfunction is detected when ECM receives an incorrect signal from Transmission Control Module (TCM). Possible causes are:

• Communication line between ECM and TCM is open or shorted.
• Weak battery.
• Defective TCM.

To set DTC, turn ignition on. Select DATA MONITOR with scan tool. Start engine and wait at least 40 seconds.
