Door Unlock Sensor Check

  1. Measure voltage by backprobing between appropriate SECU terminals and ground. See DOOR UNLOCK SENSOR VOLTAGE CHECK  table. If voltages are not as specified, go to next step. If voltages are as specified, door unlock sensor is okay.
    DOOR UNLOCK SENSOR VOLTAGE CHECK

    Terminal No. (1) Condition Volts
    (36) Left Front Door
    Unlocked 0
    Locked About 12
    (37) Right Front Door
    Unlocked 0
    Locked About 12
    (26) Both Rear Doors
    Unlocked 0
    Locked About 12
    (1) See Figure and Figure for terminal location.
  2. Perform appropriate door unlock sensor test. See SENSOR TESTS  under COMPONENT TESTS. If sensor is okay, check unlock sensor ground circuit (Black wire) and/or Orange wire (front passenger door), Yellow/Red wire (front driver door) or Yellow wire (both rear doors) for open or short between SECU and door unlock sensor.
