Test 2: ASCD Main Switch Check

  1. Check ASCD MAIN Switch Power Supply

    Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect ASCD MAIN switch harness connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure voltage between terminals No. 1 (Green/Orange wire) and No. 4 (Black wire) at ASCD MAIN switch harness connector. See Fig 1 . If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, check the following and repair as necessary: blown fuse No. 11 (7.5-amp) in instrument panel fuse box, open or short in Green/Orange wire and/or open in Black wire.

  2. Check ASCD MAIN Switch

    Check ASCD MAIN switch. See SWITCHES  under COMPONENT TESTS. If ASCD MAIN switch is defective, replace ASCD MAIN switch. If ASCD MAIN switch tests okay, perform TEST 3: ASCD HOLD RELAY CIRCUIT CHECK  .
