Park/Neutral Position (PNP) Switch

Switch is located on transmission/transaxle. Switch notifies PCM when transmission/transaxle is in Park or Neutral. Primary use is to prevent starting the vehicle in a drive gear. This signal also is used by PCM to calculate required changes in idle speed, ignition timing and injector operation.
