TAC Module Code 12 (Secondary TP Sensor Signal)
- Disconnect TAC module connectors. Check terminals for damage or loose connections. Reconnect TAC module connector. Repeat ABS/TCS self-diagnostic procedure. While observing dash warning indicators, turn ignition on. If SLIP and TCS OFF indicators illuminate during bulb check, system is okay. If SLIP and TCS OFF indicators do not illuminate during bulb check, go to next step.
- Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, backprobe for voltage at secondary throttle position sensor connector Brown/White wire. If reading is about 5 volts, go to next step. If reading is not about 5 volts, repair harness between secondary TP sensor connector and PCM connector terminal No. 43 as necessary.
- Disconnect TAC module 20-pin connector and secondary TP sensor connectors. Check for continuity between TAC module 20-pin connector terminal No. 3 (White wire) and secondary TP sensor connector terminal No. 2 (White wire). If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair White wire as necessary.
- Test secondary TP sensor. See appropriate test procedure for DTC P1120 in appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE section.
