Using Nissan CONSULT Scan Tool

Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Connect Nissan CONSULT scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). See Figure . Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Touch START, then IVMS on scan tool display. Touch IVMS COMM CHECK, then IVMS COMM DIAGNOSIS on scan tool display. Touch START on scan tool display. If no failure is detected, no problem is detected at this time. If failure is detected, perform appropriate test or replace appropriate component. See DIAGNOSTIC RESULTS  table.

NOTE: Ensure interior dome and step lights are operating before performing on-board diagnostics without scan tool.
