Inhibitor Switch

Inhibitor switch operates back-up lights and prevents starting except in Park and Neutral. To adjust, place transaxle in Neutral. Disconnect shift cable from transaxle shift shaft lever. Loosen inhibitor switch screws. See Fig 1 . Insert 0.16" (4 mm) pin into adjustment holes in both inhibitor switch and manual shaft. Tighten screws. Remove pin and install control linkage. Ensure vehicle starts in only "P" and "N" positions.
