Actuator Motor Relay
NOTE:
Actuator motor relay is part of ABS relay unit. If relay tests bad, replace ABS relay unit as an assembly.
- Disconnect ABS relay unit connectors. See Figure . Check for continuity between ABS relay unit terminal No. 10 and terminals No. 4 and 15 (relay unit side). See Figure . If continuity does not exist in both checks, go to next step. If continuity exists in either check, replace ABS relay unit.
- Apply battery voltage between relay terminals No. 5 and 8. Again check for continuity between relay terminal No. 10 and terminals No. 4 and 15. If continuity does not exist in either check, replace ABS relay unit. If continuity exists in both checks, go to next step.
- Remove battery voltage from ABS relay unit. Measure resistance between ABS relay unit terminals No. 5 and 8. Resistance should be 70.8-157.8 ohms. If resistance is not as specified, replace ABS relay unit. If resistance is as specified, actuator motor relay is okay at this time.
