No Remote Control Functions

  1. Check remote controller battery. See DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE 1  under SYSTEM TESTS. Replace if necessary. If battery is okay, enter Identity (ID) code of a different or new remote controller. See PROGRAMMING REMOTE CONTROLLER . If Nissan CONSULT scan tool was used for programming, go to next step. If Nissan CONSULT scan tool was not used for programming, go to step 3).
  2. If ID code cannot be entered, perform DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE 2. See SYSTEM TESTS . If ID code can be entered, retest system. If system functions normally, replace multi-remote controller. If system does not function normally, perform DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE 3. See SYSTEM TESTS .
  3. If ID code can be entered, replace multi-remote controller. If ID code cannot be entered, perform DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE 2 and DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE 3. See SYSTEM TESTS .
NOTE: Before proceeding with the following symptom checks, check remote controller input signal using Nissan CONSULT scan tool in DATA MONITOR mode, or perform MODE II (SWITCH SIGNAL MONITOR). See MULTIPLEX CONTROL SYSTEM article.
