Diagnostic Procedure 2: Intermittent Wiper Time Is Not Adjustable

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect junction block harness connector from interior fuse block. See Figure . Using a DVOM, measure resistance between ground and junction block harness connector terminal 84A. See Figure . With intermittent wiper volume knob in "S" position, resistance should be zero ohms. With intermittent wiper volume in "L" position, resistance should be about 1000 ohms.
  2. If resistance is as specified, replace TCU. If resistance is not as specified, check intermittent wiper volume switch. Check wire harness for continuity between TCU and wiper switch. Repair as necessary.
