Engine Cold

Perform the following in order:

• Check fuel pressure. See BASIC TESTING article.
• Check fuel injector operation. See SYSTEM/COMPONENT TESTS article.
• Check ignition timing.
• Replace MAF sensor with known good unit.
• Check for excessive carbon on intake valves.
