SERVICE INFORMATION

Observe the following precautions in the handling of Infiniti multi-remote switches:

  1. Use the correct battery for replacement. Te correct aftermarket part number for the battery used in all Infiniti remote switches is CR2025. DO NOT use batteries designated CR2016. These batteries are slightly smaller and will make intermittent contact.
  2. Use the correct programming procedure when re-programming, replacing, or adding a multi-remote switch. The procedure for the I30 is slightly different from other Infiniti models. Refer to ITB95-051 (EL95-003) for details.
  3. DO NOT mix multi-remote switches on any individual vehicle. Each new Infiniti vehicle comes with two multi-remote switches, each programmed to that particular vehicle. If you use a multi-remote switch from another vehicle, it will not operate. All of the customer's multi-remote switches, up to four, must be programmed to the vehicle at the same time. This is because the programming procedure erases any previous programs.
