Description & Operation
The Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) prevents wheel lock-up during abrupt braking. The system detects wheel rotation rate and electronically controls fluid pressure applied to the brakes.
A slight vibration and noise may be noticed during hard braking. These conditions are normal and indicate the anti-lock brake system is functioning properly. If a malfunction occurs in the system, anti-lock feature will not function but conventional brakes will continue to operate normally. See Fig 1 through Fig 3 .
