WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2024 Hyundai Kona. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Turn the ignition switch "ON".
  2. Check the front monitor terminal using a multi tester.
  3. Check the front monitor terminal voltage value.
  4. If the voltage is faulty, check the wiring harness.
    • In using a tester, insert the tester probe towards the wire side of the connector. Do not insert it towards the terminal side of the connector. Do not touch the connector carelessly.

Information

If any exact cause of fault has not been determined through the above inspection flow, the controller could be defective.

In this case, replace it with a normal controller and check if the DTC is cleared.

If any exact cause of fault has not been determined through the above inspection flow, the controller could be defective.

In this case, replace it with a normal controller and check if the DTC is cleared.

  1. To determine the failure of the existing front monitor controller, replace it with a good front monitor controller.
  2. In the newly installed controller, be sure to perform the "Vehicle S/W Management" by using the "Vehicle S/W Management" of the diagnostic equipment.
  3. Check that the fault code does not recur and that it operates normally.

    OK

As the system is normally operating, determine it as the existing controller fault and Go to "Final DTC Checking"  procedure.

    NG

The existing controller cannot be determined as the component causing the failure.

If the fault code reoccurs after replacing the product, reinstall the existing controller and Go to "Final DTC Checking"  procedure.
