Inspection for PCM Ground Circuit

  1. Turn IGN switch ON.
  2. Check ground terminal of PCM using multi-tester.
  3. Check the PCM ground terminal voltage value.
  4. If the voltage is faulty, Inspection for wiring harness.
    List of Inspection Normal value Inspection Condition Probe (+) Probe (-)
    PCM
    Ground    		 Approx. 0V
    1. IGN Switch "OFF"
    2. Disconnect the PCM connector
    		 PCM Connector side
    3. Ground     		 Chassis Ground 
    PCM Connector side
    4. Ground     		 Chassis Ground 

    Information 

    The failure part according to the PCM ground wire inspection can be expected as follows.

    Measurement Result Possible Cause
    When voltage is not output Wiring disconnection/Need to check GC201 ground terminal

    OK 

    Go to "Final DTC checking"  procedure

    NG 

    Go to "Inspection for Open in PCM Ground Circuit"  procedure.
