ECM/PCM power is supplied from battery and monitors crankshaft position sensor, accelerator pedal sensor and etc. In according to these signals ECM/PCM controls relays, solenoids, and injectors. Also, ECM/PCM performs self test to increase reliability and if problem is detected on vehicle, ECM/PCM, warns drivers and technicians via DTC and the MIL.
