SRS Control Module (SRSCM): Removal

WARNING:
  • You must remove or install the SRSCM or other SRS components with the ignition switch OFF to avoid accidental airbag deployment.
CAUTION:
  • Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.
NOTE:
  • When removing using a remover, be careful not to damage the parts.
  • Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
  1. Disconnect the battery (-) terminal.
    WARNING:
    • After disconnecting the battery (-) terminal, wait at least 3 minutes.
  2. Remove the floor console air duct.

    (Refer to Body (Interior/Exterior/Electrical) - "FLOOR CONSOLE MOUNTING BRACKET ")

  3. Disconnect the SRSCM connectors (A).
    NOTE:
    • Be careful not to damage the SRSCM connector.

  4. Remove the SRSCM (A), after removing the nuts.

    Tightening torque: 

    7.8 - 9.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.0 kgf.m, 5.8 - 7.2 lb-ft)
