Final DTC Checking
Information
After repairing the problem using the DTC guide, it is essential to verify if the troubles have been corrected.
- After connecting the GDS, perform self-diagnosis to check the "Fault code (DTC)".
- Clear the stored fault code by using the diagnostic device.
- The vehicle is driven according to the DTC detection condition of the failure determination condition.
- Using GDS, see if the DTC returns.
- Does the DTC recur?
OK
System is now working properly.
Release the vehicle.
NG
Case 1) some of the procedures is missing on the flow chart,
- Go on to the missing procedure.
Case 2) If the same DTC returns, even though mechanic has completed the whole procedure in the flow chart,
- It is possible to suspect a failure of the controller unit. Refer to the following to proceed with the controller pass/fail decision.

Controller Quality Judgement Procedure
- Replace with a good AWD ECU by referring to the appropriate service information.
- If the fault code is cleared after installing the good AWD ECU: It is determined that the controller is defective and the vehicle is shipped with the good AWD ECU installed.
- If the fault code is not cleared after installing the non-defective AWD ECU: The existing controller cannot be determined as the cause of the fault. In this case, re-install the existing AWD ECU and recheck the entire inspection flow.
* In case of exchanging AWD ECU, perform the procedure of "Backup and input learning value when replacing AWD ECU" in the "SW Management".
