Inspection For Transmission Control Module Components

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2024 Hyundai Kona. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Information

If any exact cause of fault has not been determined through the above inspection flow, the controller could be defective.

In this case, replace it with a normal controller and check if the DTC is cleared.

  1. In order to determine the failure of the existing automatic transmission control module controller, replace it with a good automatic transmission control module controller.
  2. For the newly installed controller, be sure to perform 'AUTO T/A learning value deletion, hydraulic characteristics backup and input' using the "Vehicle S/W Management" of the diagnostic equipment.

  3. Check that the fault code does not recur and that it operates normally.

    OK

As the system is normally operating, determine it as the existing controller fault and Go to "Final DTC Checking"  procedure.

    NG

The existing controller cannot be determined as the component causing the failure.

If the fault code reoccurs after replacing the product, reinstall the existing controller and Go to "Final DTC Checking"  procedure.

    Information

If the fault persists even after replacing the controller, it is not necessary to replace the controller as it is not the cause of the fault.
