BCW SYSTEM
The BCW (=Blind-Spot Collision Warning) is a system which prevents collision by measuring the distance and speed of an object in the blind spots using the blind spot radars installed at the rearside of the vehicle. It warns the driver (though visual, audible, and tactile alarm) when another vehicle coming from the right/left or rear or changing a lane from behind enters the driver's blind spots after computing the possibilities of a collision with the vehicle.
The BCW system exchanges information regarding distance from and speed of the upcoming vehicle via reciprocal CAN communication with the radio wave radar installed at the back of the vehicle.
