Repair Procedures: Removal
- Turn OFF ignition switch and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the shift lever knob & boots (A).
- Remove the floor console assembly.
(Refet to Body - "Floor Console Assembly")
- Disconnect the wiring clip (A).
- Remove the snap pin (A) and then Disconnect the select cable (B).
- Disconnect the shift cable socket (A).
- Loosen the bolts and then disconnect the shift lever assembly (A).
Tightening torque:
8.8 - 13.7 N.m (0.9 - 1.4 kgf.m, 6.5 - 10.1 lb-ft)
- Disconnect the shift cable (A) and shift lever (B) by spreading the cable end's "U" shaped clips towards both sides.
