Repair Procedures: Inspection: Notes

Check the oil deterioration, entry of water, discoloring of thinning. If the quality is visibly poor, replace the oil.

1. Park the car on the even ground, and then warm up the engine until the coolant temperature reaches to normal temperature.
2. Turn off the engine and then open the hood.
3. Remove the engine oil filler cap and oil level gauge and then wait until the oil level becomes stable (about 15 minutes).
4. Wipe the engine oil level gauge using a clean cloth.
5. Put the engine oil level gauge into the engine again and then remove the engine oil level gauge.
6. Check whether the oil level is between the "F" and "L" marks on the engine oil level gauge.
7. If the level is lower than "L" mark, check for leakage and open the engine oil filler cap and then must add the engine oil up to the "F" mark.
8. Check the engine oil level again whether the oil level is in specified quantity.
9. Close the engine oil filler cap and put the engine oil level gauge into the engine.
   NOTE:

   • Do not fill with engine oil above the "F" mark.
