Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (ECTS) #1

  1. Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  2. Remove the air duct and air intake hose.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")

  3. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector (A). Refer to illustration below.
  4. Remove the engine coolant temperature sensor after loosening mounting bolt (B).

    Tightening Torque: 

    9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)

    NOTE:
    • Note that engine coolant may flow out from the water temperature control assembly when removing the sensor.
