Troubleshooting Condition Possible Cause
Main Action
  • Performance inspection
  1. Poor contact of connector
  2. EGR valve circuit malfunction
  3. EGR Valve
Prerequisite Condition
  • Engine stop for more than 6 sec
  • Engine speed is lower than 20 RPM
  • Battery voltage is higher than 9V
  • Coolant temperature is between 0°C (32°F) and 120°C (248°F)
  • Intake air temperature is between 0°C (32°F) and 100°C (212°F)
Threshold Value
  • EGR closing location learning voltage is more than 4.5V or less than 3.5V
Diagnostic Time
  • Ignition switch OFF for 2 sec
