Repair Procedures: Replacement

Information 

• When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
• Take care not to scratch the body surface.

1. Remove the front door window glass.

   (Refer to Front Door - "FRONT DOOR WINDOW GLASS ")

2. Remove the front door outside handle.

   (Refer to Front Door - "FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ")

3. Loosen the front door outside handle screw (A).

4. Loosen the front door latch screws.

   Tightening torque: 

   7.8 - 10.8 N.m (0.7 - 1.1 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.0 lb-ft)

5. Press the lock pin and separate the front door main connector (A).

6. Loosen the front door module bolts and remove the front door module (A).

   Tightening torque: 

   7.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb-ft)

7. Disconnect the various connector front the front door module and separate the front door module wiring harness (A).
8. Remove the front door latch assembly.

   (Refer to Front Door - "FRONT DOOR LATCH ASSEMBLY ")

9. Remove the front power window motor.

   (Refer to Body Electrical System - "POWER WINDOW MOTOR ")

10. To install, reverse removal procedure.

    Information 

    • Make sure connectors are connected properly and each rod is connected securely.
    • Make sure the door locks/unlocks and opens/closes properly.
