Main Action
  • Calculation of engine roughness
  1. Poor connector connection
  2. Incorrect Valve Timing
  3. Uneven Compression
  4. Air leakage
  5. Improper Fuel Pressure or Dirty Fuel
  6. Blocked/Leaking Injectors
Prerequisite Condition
  • Engine load ratio is greater than 10 to 60%
  • Engine speed is between 450 RPM and 6700 RPM
  • Barometric pressure (BARO) model is greater than 75 kPa
  • The gradient of engine load ratio is less than 12 to 60%/s
  • Throttle gradient/sec. is less than 58.6 to 1265.6%/s
  • Engine coolant temperature is higher than 20°C (68°F)
  • Battery voltage between 11V and 16V
  • No rough condition = mean value of vehicle speed gradient higher than 13~25%
  • Fuel cut-off is not activated.

  • Misfire is detected on 2 or more cylinders
