Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
  2. Disconnect the battery sensor connector (A).

  3. Remove the battery.

    (Refer to Engine Electrical System - "BATTERY ")

  4. Remove the battery negative (-) cable after removing the bolt (A).

    Battery sensor cable mounting bolt: 

    26.5 - 35.3 N.m (2.7 - 3.6 kgf.m, 19.5 - 26.0 lb-ft)
