Repair Procedures: Removal: 4WD

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and then disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  2. Loosen the wheel nuts slightly.

    Raise the vehicle, and make sure it is securely supported.

  3. Remove the rear wheel and tire (A) from the rear hub.

    Tightening torque: 

    107.9 - 127.5 N.m (11.0 - 13.0 kgf.m, 79.6 - 94.0 lb-ft)

    NOTE:
    • Be careful not to damage the hub bolts when removing the rear wheel and tire (A).

  4. Remove the rear wheel guard.

    (Refer to Body - "REAR WHEEL GUARD ")

  5. Disconnect the rear wheel speed sensor connector (A).

  6. Remove the rear wheel speed sensor cable bracket mounting bolt (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    19.6 - 29.4 N.m (2.0 - 3.0 kgf.m, 14.5 - 21.7 lb-ft)

  7. Disconnect the EPB actuator connector (A).

  8. Remove the rear wheel speed sensor (A) after loosening the mounting bolt.

    Tightening torque: 

    6.9 - 10.8 N.m (0.7 - 1.1 kgf.m, 5.1 - 8.0 lb-ft)
