Repair Procedures: Replacement: Removal
NOTE:
- When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
- Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.
CAUTION:
- Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
- Remove the rear pillar trim.
(Refer to Interior Trim - "REAR PILLAR TRIM ")
- Remove the C pillar garnish (A).
- Loosen the quarter fixed glass mounting nuts.
Tightening torque:
3.9 - 4.4 N.m (0.4 - 0.5 kgf.m, 2.9 - 3.3 lb-ft)
- Cut out the quarter fixed glass sealant using the utility knife.NOTE:
- Do not scrape down to the painted surface of the body as bonding strength may get diminished on damaged paint.
Information
- Remove the rubber dam and fasteners from the body.
- Mask off surrounding surfaces before painting.
- Remove the quarter-fixed glass (B) while paying attention to clip (A).
