DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Monitor the spark timing
  1. Intake system for blockage
  2. Throttle plate for carbon deposits
Enable Conditions
  • Vehicle speed = 0 mph
  • Coolant temperature is higher than 18.5°F (-7.5°C).
  • Intake air temperature is higher than 18.5°F (-7.5°C).
  • Engine is running (idle).
  • Cold Start Catalyst Light Off active
Threshold Value Case1
  • Desired engine speed is over 100 rpm greater than actual engine speed.
Case2
  • Desired engine speed is over 200 rpm lower than actual engine speed.
Diagnostic Time
  • 5 sec
Mil On Condition
  • 2 driving cycle
