Component Inspection

  1. Turn the ignition switch "OFF".
  2. Turn the ignition switch "ON".
  3. Connect GDS and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" mode.
  4. Using a GDS, Clear DTC.
  5. Using a GDS, Check DTC present.
  6. Are any DTCs present?

    YES 

    • This DTC may be caused by an improper installation of the steering angle sensor. Check it for the installation.
    • If there is no problem about the above items, replace it with a new Steering Angle Sensor and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, put the new Steering Angle Sensor in place and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.

      * In a case of replacing the Steering Angle Sensor, perform "Steering Angle Sensor Calibration" in "Vehicle S/W Management" menu of the GDS.
