Removal And Installation
- Disconnect the negative battery "-" terminal.
- Remove the air cleaner assembly.
(Refer to "AIR CLEANER ")
- Remove the engine room under cover.
- Loosen the drain plug and drain the engine coolant.
(Refer to "COOLANT ")
- Remove the front bumper cover.
(Refer to "FRONT BUMPER COVER ")
- Disconnect the radiator upper hose (A) and lower hose (B).NOTE: When installing radiator hoses, install as shown in illustrations.
- Disconnect the fan motor connector (A) beside the wiring harness.
- Remove the air intake shield (A).
- Disconnect the ATF cooler hose.
(Refer to "AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE ")
- Remove the upper air guard (A) and radiator over flow hose (B).
- Remove the horn.
(Refer to "HORN ")
- Remove the side air guard (A).
Tightening Torque:
7.8 ~ 11.8 N.m (0.8 ~ 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 ~ 8.7 lb-ft)
- Loosen the cooling fan mounting bolts and then disconnect the cooling fan assembly (A) from radiator.
- Remove the radiator upper bracket (A).
Tightening Torque:
7.8 ~ 11.8 N.m (0.8 ~ 1.2 Kgf.m, 5.8 ~ 8.7 lb-ft)
- Separate the A/C condenser (A) from the radiator assembly (B).
- Pull the radiator up and then remove the radiator from the vehicle.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Fill the radiator with coolant.

- Start the engine and check for leaks.NOTE:
- Bleed air from the cooling system.
- Start engine and let it run until it warms up. (Until the radiator fan operates 3 or 4 times.)
- Turn off engine. Check the coolant level and add coolant if needed.
This will allow trapped air to be removed from the cooling system.
- Put the radiator cap on tightly, then run engine again and check for leaks.
- Bleed air from the cooling system.
