Power Circuit Inspection

IG KEY "OFF".
Disconnect FPS connector.
IG KEY "ON" & ENG "OFF".
Measure the voltage between power terminal of FPS harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification: Approx 5V

Is the measured voltage within specification?
YES
- Go to Signal Circuit Inspection procedure below.
NO
- Check for Open or Short to ground in FPS circuit. Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
