Initializing Method Of The Safety Power Window

  1. Initializing of Battery Connection

    When the battery power is removed for over 5 minutes, the power window safety switch needs to be re-initialized.

    • Power window operation before initializing
      1. Manual-Up/Down function is available
      2. Auto-Up function is not available

        (When holding the auto-up/down switch, window is operated as a manual-up/down.)

    • Initializing method

      Close the window from a window fully down position, and hold the switch in the windows fully up position for at least 1 second.

      (if safety power window initialization is attempted with the windows already fully closed, initialization could fail)

    • Initializing the safety power window feature could be unavailable if the window is jammed.
  2. Initializing of fail safe mode
    1. If the window will not move while operating the window switch, the motors could be in a fail safe mode.
    2. Power window operation in fail mode
      • Auto/Manual-Down function is available
      • Auto/Manual-Up function is not available

        (When auto/manual-up is operated, window is rising 20mm and is stopped the moving.)
