Repair Procedures: Removal
- Remove the LH/RH cylinder head cover.
Refer to CYLINDER HEAD COVER .
- Remove the lower oil pan.
Refer to OIL PAN .
- Remove the drive belt auto tensioner.
Refer to DRIVE BELT TENSIONER .
- Remove the crankshaft damper pulley.
Refer to CRANKSHAFT DAMPER PULLEY .
- Remove the engine mounting support bracket.
Refer to ENGINE MOUNTING .
- Lift up the engine assembly slightly by using a jack to get access to the side of engine.
- Remove the water pump and gasket.
Refer to WATER PUMP .
- Remove the timing chain cover (A).
CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the contact surfaces of cylinder block, cylinder head and timing chain cover.
