Repair Procedures: Replacement: Removal
NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Use seat covers to avoid damaging any surfaces.
- Remove the front pillar trim. (Refer to "INTERIOR TRIM ")
- Remove the inside rear view mirror. (Refer to "ELECTRO CHROMATIC INSIDE REAR VIEW MIRROR ")
- Remove the rain sensor.
- Remove the auto defog sensor.
- Remove the windshield wiper arm. (Refer to "COWL TOP COVER ")
- Remove the cowl top cover. (Refer to "COWL TOP COVER ")
- Disconnect the windshield glass deicer connector.
- Remove the windshield molding (A) from the edge of the windshield glass (B). If necessary, cut the windshield molding with a utility knife.
- Cut out the windshield sealant using the sealant cutting tool (A) (09861-31100).
CAUTION:
- Do not scrape down to the painted surface of the body; damaged paint will interfere with proper bonding.
- Remove the rubber dam and fasteners from the body.
- Mask off surrounding surfaces before painting.
- Remove the windshield (B) carefully using the glass holder (A).
