Component Inspection

  1. Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF" and Using a scan tool, clear the DTC.
  2. Ignition "OFF".
  3. Disconnect the battery (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait at least one minutes.
  4. Disconnect Passenger side PODS-F sensor Mat & ECU connector.
  5. Substitute the Passenger side PODS-F sensor Mat & ECU and check for proper operation.
  6. Is DTC present problem?

    YES 

    • Substitute a known-good Passenger side PODS-F sensor Mat & ECU, and check for proper operation.

      If the problem is corrected, replace Passenger side PODS-F sensor Mat & ECU. Then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • Substitute the Passenger side PODS-F sensor Mat & ECU main harness and check for proper operation.

      If the problem is corrected, replace Passenger side PODS-F sensor Mat & ECU main harness. Then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
