Repair procedures: Removal
- Preparation
- Remove the rear seat cushion (Refer to Rear Seat
).
- Remove the service cover of the fuel pump (A).

- Disconnect the fuel pump connector (A).

- Idle the engine and wait until fuel in feed line is exhausted.
- After engine stops, turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect the fuel feed tube quick-connector (A).

- Remove the service cover of the sub fuel sender (A).

- Disconnect the sub fuel sender connector (A).

- Lift the vehicle.
- Remove the center muffler assembly (Refer to INTAKE AND EXHAUST SYSTEM - 5.0L
).
- Remove the propeller shaft (Refer to Propeller Shaft
).
- Remove the under cover (A).

- Support the fuel tank with a jack.
- Disconnect the fuel filler hose (A) and the leveling hose (B).

- Remove the service cover of the canister (A) in trunk room.

- Disconnect the vapor tube quick-connector (A).

- Detach the parking brake cable (A) from the fuel tank [Except Electric Parking Brake system].

- Remove the fuel tank (B) from the vehicle after removing the mounting nuts (A).
