Main Crash Pad Replacement

CAUTION:
  • When prying with a flat-up screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape, and apply protective tape around the related parts, to prevent damage.
  • Put on gloves to protect your hands.
  1. Remove the following items;
    1. Front seat.
    2. Cluster.
    3. Audio assembly.
    4. Glove box.
    5. Crash pad side cover.
    6. Front pillar trim.
  2. Remove the crash pad side garnish (A).

  3. Using a screwdriver, remove the center speaker grill (A).

  4. Loosen the mounting screws, remove the center speaker (A).
  5. Disconnect the connector (B).

  6. Loosen the mounting screws, remove the crash pad under cover (A).

  7. Disconnect the passenger's air bag connector (A).
  8. Remove the passenger's air bag mounting bolts.

  9. Loosen the mounting screws, remove the crash pad lower panel (A).

  10. Disconnect the connector (A).

  11. Disconnect the connector (A).

  12. Remove the auto photo and auto light sensor (B) from crash pad upper side by using screwdriver or remover then disconnect the connector (A).

  13. Loosen the mounting bolts and nuts, then remove the main crash pad (B).

  14. Installation is the reverse of removal.
    NOTE:
    • Make sure the crash pad fits onto the guide pins correctly.
    • Before tightening the bolts, make sure the crash pad wire harnesses are not pinched.
    • Make sure the connectors are plugged in properly, and the antenna lead is connected properly.
    • Enter the anti-theft code for the radio, then enter the customer's radio station presets.
