Cowl Cross Bar Assembly Replacement

  1. Remove the following items.
    1. Front seat

      (Refer to FRONT SEAT .)

    2. Floor console

      (Refer to CONSOLE .)

    3. Crash pad
    4. Cowl top cover

      (Refer to the COWL TOP COVER .)

  2. Disconnect the blower unit connectors (A).

    (Refer to the BLOWER .)

  3. Disconnect the connectors

  4. Disconnect the airbag (A) and antenna (B) connectors.

  5. Push the lock pin, disconnect the driver's wiring connectors.
  6. Using a screwdriver, remove the wiring cover (A).

  7. Push the lock pin, disconnect the passenger's wiring connectors.
  8. Using a screwdriver, remove the wiring cover (A).

  9. Disconnect the connector mounting clip (A).

  10. Remove the cowl top cover.

    (Refer to the COWL TOP COVER .)

  11. Loosen the mounting bolts.

  12. After loosening the mounting bolts and nuts, then remove the cowl cross bar (A).

  13. Installation is the reverse of removal.
    NOTE:
    • Put on gloves to protect your hands.
    • Make sure the connectors are plugged in properly.
