DESCRIPTION
This bulletin describes the procedure to reprogram the Bluetooth software in 2012 Genesis Coupe vehicles with the Audio system and Navigation system.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
BLUETOOTH SOFTWARE UPDATE PROCEDURE FOR NAVIGATION SYSTEM
- Place the ignition switch in the "ACC" position by pushing the start/stop button one time (without depressing the brake pedal).
- Open the console armrest and then plug the USB memory stick into the USB slot.
- Turn off the system by pressing the "Power" knob.
- Touch the "Agree"
bar on the screen.
- Press the "Phone"
button.
- Touch the "Settings"
bar on the screen.
- Touch the lower left corner and then touch the upper right corner on the "Settings" screen to access the "Bluetooth Engineering Mode"
.
- Check "Model Revision Ex:" on the screen for the Bluetooth software version.
- Start the update by touching the "FSW-Update"
bar on the screen and software update process will start.
- If the software update process failed, repeat the update process by touching the "FSW-Update"
bar on the screen again.
- When the reprogramming is complete, an "Update Finished"
message will display at the bottom of the screen.
Push the Start/Stop button two times (without depressing the brake pedal) to turn off the vehicle.
Remove the USB memory stick.
- Push the Start/Stop Button one time (without depressing the brake pedal) to turn the ignition to the "ACC" position.
Repeat Steps 3-7 to verify the Bluetooth software version had been updated to 3.13.4.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
BLUETOOTH SOFTWARE UPDATE PROCEDURE FOR AUDIO SYSTEM
- Place the ignition switch in the "ACC"
position by turning the ignition switch to the "ACC" position or pushing the start/stop button one time (without depressing the brake pedal).
- Turn the audio system off by pressing the "Power"
knob and verify screen is displayed as shown in the photo.
- Open the console armrest and then plug the USB memory stick into the USB slot.
- "READING USB"
is displayed on the screen momentarily.
- The audio will start playing. Allow the music to play for a minimum of 5 seconds.
- Turn off the audio by pushing the "POWER"
knob.
- Simultaneously press and hold the radio preset button #1
and #4
for 2 seconds.
Then push the preset button #1 quickly for 4 times.
- The current system software version is displayed on the screen.
- Push the "INFO"
button.
- Check the Bluetooth software version is "BT: (312)" .
- To update the Bluetooth software, push the radio preset button #5
one time and then push the radio preset button #2
one time.
- The Bluetooth update process will start.
Updating takes about 24 minutes.
- Screen will display as shown in the photo after the updating is completed.
Remove the USB memory stick.
- Repeat step #7 to verify the Bluetooth software version is "BT: (312)"
