Monitor Scantool Data
- Check DTC
- Check DTC with scantool.
- Check if DTC related to CAN communication is set on Smart Key Module and every module.
- If there is a DTC related to module, check the DTC according to Troubleshooting .
- Repair and erase the DTC with Scantool.
- Is the DTC erased?
YES
- Check for poor connection between harness connector and Smart Key Module or ECM
Thoroughly check connector for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deformation, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary, and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Go to next Inspection procedure.
- Check for poor connection between harness connector and Smart Key Module or ECM
