  1. Open/Short resistance -(a)
    RESISTANCE INSPECTION CHART

    Result Specification Remedy Probable cause and state
    Champion NGK
    Normal ∞ - -
    Not OK NOT∞ Replace Cause : Open in spark plugs

    State : Misfire→engine skipping or hesitation
  2. Insulation resistance (with 500~1000 V voltmeter)-(b)
RESISTANCE INSPECTION CHART

Result Specification Remedy Probable cause and state
Champion NGK
Normal 50 MΩ above - -
Not OK 50 MΩ below Replace Cause : Carbon or insulator crack

State : Engine skipping or hesitation
