Cowl Cross Bar Replacement

NOTE:
  • When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape, and apply protective tape around the related parts, to prevent damage.
  • Put on gloves to protect your hands.
  1. Remove the following items.
    1. Front seat

      (Refer to "FRONT SEAT ")

    2. Floor Console assembly

      (Refer to "Floor Console Replacement ")

    3. Cowl top cover

      (Refer to "COWL TOP COVER ")

    4. Front door scuff trim

      (Refer to "Door Scuff Trim Replacement ")

    5. Main crash pad
  2. Disconnect the blower unit connectors.

    (Refer to BLOWER UNIT .

  3. Disconnect the wiring connector (A).

  4. Disconnect the connectors (A).

  5. Disconnect the airbag connector (A).

  6. Disconnect the connectors (A) and then mounting clips in front pillar.

    [Passenger's]

  7. After loosening the mounting bolts and nuts, then remove the cowl cross bar (A).

  8. Installation is the reverse of removal.
    NOTE:
    • Replace any damaged clips.
    • Make sure the connectors are plugged in properly.
