Repair procedures: Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the shroud (Steering column cover).

    (Refer to the STEERING COLUMN AND SHAFT ).

  3. Remove the ignition switch (A) after loosening the screw (B) with IG ON and disconnecting the 6P connector (C).

  4. Remove the steering column cover (Refer to the STEERING COLUMN AND SHAFT ).
  5. Remove the door warning switch and key illumination lamp (A) after loosening the screw and disconnecting the 6P connector.

  6. If it is necessary to remove the key lock cylinder (A), Remove the key lock cylinder (A) after pushing lock pin (B) with key ACC.
