Component Inspection
■ Check rear height switch
- Connect scantool to Data Link Connector (DLC).
- Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF"
- Monitor the "RR HEIGHT UP (DOWN) SW" Parameter on the Scantool. While operating rear height switch.
Specification : Refer the specifications in Fig.1), Fig.2)
- Is the measured current data within specifications?
YES
- Go to 1 Check rear height motor procedure.
NO
- Substitute with a known-good rear height switch and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace rear height switch and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
■ Check rear height motor
- Connect scantool to Data Link Connector (DLC).
- Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF"
- Select "ACTUATION TEST" mode on scantool and press [F1] to start
- Dose rear height motor work properly?
YES
- Go to 1 Check rear height sensor procedure.
NO
- Substitute with a known-good rear height motor and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace rear height motor and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
■ Check rear height sensor
- Connect scantool to Data Link Connector (DLC).
- Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF"
- Monitor the "RR HEIGHT POSITION" Parameter on the Scantool. While operating rear height switch.
Specification : Refer the specifications in Fig.5)
- Is the measured voltage within specifications in Fig.5)?
YES
- Check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Substitute with a known-good rear height motor and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace rear height motor and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
