Check Rainsensor

Connect scantool to Data Link Connector (DLC).
Ignition "ON" & engine "OFF" & wiper "AUTO".

Measure waveform between terminal "4" of rainsensor and chassis ground while sprinkling water on front window glass.

Specification: Duty cycle > 66.7% ± 3%

Is the measured waveform within specifications?
* Duty cycle value will be fixed at 38.0%±3%, if fault 2 is detected.

YES
- Check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Substitute with a known-good rainsensor and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace rainsensor and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
