Diagnostic Trouble Codes

  1. While 4WD ECU is active, it periodically monitors its inputs and outputs.

If a fault is detected, the Malfunction Indicator Lamp for 4WD is illuminated and flashes at an interval of 0.25 seconds "ON", and 0.25 seconds "OFF".

  2. When the ignition is turned on, the 4WD ECU tests its ROM and RAM. If there is a fault, the 4WD ECU immediately resets itself and re-tests the ROM and RAM.

If the fault persists, the 4WD ECU continues to reset and re-test until the fault is corrected or the ignition is turned off.

  3. Diagnostic Trouble Codes will remain in memory until the 4WD ECU is instructed to erase DTC's by the Hi-Scan Pro.
