Checking Fluid Level
NOTE:
Inspect the transaxle for evidence of leakage. Check the gear oil level by removing the filler plug. If the oil is contaminated, it is necessary to replace it with new oil.
- Remove the oil filler plug and check the level with finger. See Fig 1 .
- Oil level must be up to the filler hole. If it is below the hole, add oil until it runs out, then reinstall the plug. Tighten plug to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Replace the oil if the transaxle gear oil is noticeably dirty, or it is not of a suitable viscosity. See DRAINING & REFILLING .
